Our Best and Worst Acne Product Reviews

When reading acne product reviews, you must be very selective. After all, you don’t want to use the wrong medications and have your breakouts get worse. Make sure you really evaluate all aspects of a review before doing anything. Most importantly, you should know what kind of acne the treatment is for. Knowing whether the treatment is a preventative or for healing existing breakouts. You should also figure out if you can live with the potential side effects.

Keeping this information in mind we have put together a list of acne reviews. Some of these products are great. Some users literally think they are miraculous. Others are just awful. Did your acne treatment make our list? Check the acne product reviews below.

Champions

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash:
This is a great, affordable product. It basically helps with any degree of acne. The wash was made to remove all the oil. It must be used twice a day to be effective. It may leave your skin a small bit dry. This is easily corrected with oil-free moisturizer. Users noticed improvement in about a week. Over time this carried on. If you use only the wash, you may not get totally clear skin. But if you have really bad acne, the wash will make a noticeable difference. You will be able to clear up mild to moderate acne with the wash.

Proactiv:
This product was put in our stars acne product reviews because it works so good, when it works. The stars in the commercials aren’t the only people who swear by Proactive. But, I have seen many mixed reviews about Proactive. If you have mild to moderate acne, you will love this product. But, really bad acne may not react as well. Proactiv kills the bacteria in your pores that cause acne. This is pretty effective and relatively fast as long as there are not too many bacteria to handle. But severe acne can bit a bit much for this particular product. Also, this product only works if you continually use it, even after your skin has cleared.

Stinkers

Clear and Continuous Control Acne Cleanser:
This is a very good facial cleanser. I like the cool, tingly feel you get when washing your face. But its not a good treatment at all for acne. Even though it felt really good, it barely worked. However, users prone to regular breakouts (not acne) had good luck with this one. It is on our “stinkers” list because it does not live up to the “acne cleanser” part of its name.

Murad Acne Treatments:
Murad is a company that makes really great beauty products. But, they probably shouldn’t have made acne products. Murad’s acne treatment makes the problem worse for the majority of people who use it. The good thing is that they have a money-back guarantee, but while waiting on your refund, you may experience some pretty serious image issues. You must use this product very carefully if you want to try it.

Of course this is only a few out of hundreds of acne treatments available. They were just the treatments that seemed to stand above the rest. These acne product reviews should help you find the right product for you.
